Nature Check is a new type of science communication project intended to meet audiences where they already are.
Many science communicators create content that's found and consumed by science-enthusiastic audiences. But this strategy creates a "preaching to the choir" scenario. With Nature Check, we're trying something different: embracing other parts of our personalities and interests (apart from science), embedding ourselves with those communities, and sprinkling science into content intended to appeal to those groups. In our case, we're all shameless nerds who love video games and table-top role-playing games, and we're excited to share what we love with others.
