AltSxSW EDU 2020

I was scheduled, with two collaborators, to lead a workshop at SxSW EDU 2020. We were slated to lead a 90-minute workshop for conference attendees on how to create their own educational YouTube channels and videos. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Austin canceled SxSW EDU 2020 just two days prior to the start of the event. Luckily, educators already in the area for the conference arranged a pop-up unconferenced alternative event, and my collaborators and I presented a 45-minute version of our workshop to a packed room. We had a great time, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to return to SxSW EDU in the future.
